Day 1
Tuesday 2nd November
Istanbul
Welcome to Istanbul, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Tonight, meet with your guide and the rest of your group.

Day 2
Wednesday 3rd November
Istanbul Old City
Tour the exotic city that spans both Europe and Asia visiting the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofya, Topkapi Palace, the underground Basilica Cistern and the Hippodrome. Overnight Istanbul (B)
Day 3
Thursday 4th November
Ankara, Cappadocia
After breakfast we drive towards the nation's capital, Ankara to visit Anitkabir, the Mausoleum of the famed Mustafa Ataturk before continuing on to the surreal landscape of Cappadocia.

Day 4
Friday 5th November
Goreme, Underground City
Today we tour the Goreme open-air museum, Pasabag, Uchisar castle and Derinkuyu underground city. Photo opportunities are everywhere so have your cameras ready! Tonight, don't miss the optional Turkish folklore evening featuring folklore and belly dancers... a night you won't forget!

Day 5
Saturday 6th November
Konya, Pamukkale
Leaving Cappadocia we head south along the ancient Silk Road just as the ancient traders did. Along the way we visit Sultanhani Caravansary, before stopping at Konya to tour the Mevlana Museum.

Day 6
Sunday 7th November
Pamukkale, Aphrodisias
Visit the ruins of Hierapolis, the Temple of Apollo, Necropolis, and stroll over the magnificent white calcium terraces of Pamukkale. We then drive to Aphrodisias, the famous city of Aphrodite, before heading onto the resort town of Kusadasi.

Day 7
Monday 8th November
Kusadasi, Ephesus
Absorb yourself in history today with a guided tour of Ephesus and a visit to the Temple of Artemis. Feel the mystical atmosphere of the ancient city and theatre. Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey and at the carpet village we learn how the carpets are made by hand what determines their value.

Day 8
Tuesday 9th November
Pergamum, Troy, Canakkale
This morning we will enjoy a display of locally handcrafted leather goods before driving along the Aegean coast to the ancient city of Pergamum. We visit the magnificent Acropolis of Pergamum, its impressive temples and library that made Pergamum a renowned cultural and political centre in its time. We then continue north to tour the legendary city of Troy.

Day 9
Wednesday 10th November
Gallipoli, Cape Helles, Krithia
Today we will visit the WW1 battlefields of Gallipoli commencing with the landing sites of 25th April, 1915. We visit the Helles Memorial to the missing where the majority of those who fell in 1915 are commemorated and Seddulbair to see the grave of Doughty- Wylie. We then visit the British sector where the SS River Clyde landed 29th division on V Beach and the Lancashire landing site where the 1st Lancashire Fusiliers were awarded six VC’s before breakfast (walk duration approximately 2 hrs). At X Beach, we see where HMS Implacable landed the 2nd Royal Fusiliers before visiting Krithia vineyard, Krithia war museum and nearby Redoubt cemetery.

Day 10
Thursday 11th November
ANZAC Cove (Remembrance Day)
After breakfast we continue our tour of the 25th April landing sites as we move North to ANZAC Beach, where the Australians and New Zealanders landed. We spend the morning walking along the landing beach, visit the nearby battlefields, military cemetery and preserved trenches. After a short memorial service at ANZAC Cove at 11 am we continue on to visit Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair Memorials, the Nek, Johnston's Jolly and the Gallipoli Museum. Late afternoon we return to Istanbul.

Friday 12th November
Istanbul
After breakfast our tour concludes and we say goodbye to our new friends
